石川県能美市を拠点に活動する、九谷焼作家の元女貴之氏の個展を、縁煌/加賀依緑園（加賀市）にて開催いたします。
草花と白い動物たちをモチーフに制作した飾皿、陶板、置物、酒器、組皿、器類など、約６０点の出展を予定しております。
この機会にぜひご高覧賜りますようご案内申し上げます。

今回の個展では私の二大テーマである草花と白い動物たちを二部屋に分けて、展開しています。花の作品は実用的な食器を中心に、白い動物の作品は置物や陶板、酒器などの縁起物をそれぞれ制作いたしました。花はスケッチを基に余白を生かした構図を作り、中間色を生かした和絵の具で絵付けをしています。今回の展示では私のもっとも好きな花である鬼百合をメインに、花のもつ様々な表情を作品に落とし込みました。また白い動物は神様の使いと言われており、神社の眷属である動物たちと草花を組み合わせて、縁起ものとしての意味を持たせています。どちらの作品も写実的ではありますが、花は白い余白を、動物は黒い空間をそれぞれに持たせることで対照的な雰囲気にしています。（元女貴之）

We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition by Kutani ware artist Takayuki Motomejo, who is based in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture, at Enkō / Kaga Irikuen (Kaga City).

The exhibition will feature approximately 60 works, including decorative plates, ceramic panels, ornaments, sake vessels, sets of dishes, and other tableware, all created with motifs of flowers and white animals. We sincerely invite you to view this exhibition.

In this solo exhibition, I have divided my two main themes—flowers and white animals—into two separate rooms. The flower works mainly consist of practical tableware, while the white animal works include ornaments, ceramic panels, and sake vessels made as auspicious items. For the flower pieces, I create compositions that make use of blank space based on sketches, and I paint them with Japanese pigments that emphasize intermediate colors. In this exhibition, I have focused on my favorite flower, the tiger lily, and incorporated various expressions of flowers into the artworks. The white animals are considered messengers of the gods, and by combining the animals that are attendants of shrines with flowers, I give them the meaning of auspicious items. Both types of works are realistic; however, the flowers feature white space, and the animals feature black space, creating a contrasting atmosphere. (Takayuki Motomejo)
