金沢市を拠点に活動する、ガラス工芸作家・鹿田洋介氏の個展を開催いたします。
鹿田洋介氏は、うつりかわるものを主題として制作しています。季節、感情、時間、概念など興味の対象は様々ですが、目に見えず表面的には変わらないもの、自然の風景のように刻一刻と変化していくもの、時間の経過で全く違う様相を表す過程をその前後を含めて重なり合うところで何が起こっているのか、自然の景色をモチーフに、ガラス制作を通してその様なことを考えています。

For me, I consider glass to be a material that connects between
Soft and hard.
It contains contradictory images such as soft and hard, weak and strong, and its state changes from solid to liquid depending on the temperature.
The themes of my work based on the characteristics of these materials vary from season, emotion, time, and concept to each piece.
Some are invisible and superficially unchanging, others change from moment to moment like natural landscapes, and still others are processes that show completely different aspects with the passage of time.
I express myself through the material of glass, exploring the expressions and phenomena that are created at the moment when these different elements intersect.
He says that when various things are broken down, the smallest unit can be represented by a wave, drawing a waveform.
The architecture and gardens that are the venues for this exhibition are the accumulation of culture, and I hope to break down my impressions of the venues and compose the exhibition using “waves,” the smallest unit of measurement.
I plan to exhibit about 50 pieces of objects, vases, and containers in this exhibition. Please take this opportunity to visit the exhibition.
