金沢市を拠点に活動するガラス作家・塚原梢氏の個展を開催いたします。彼女はガラスに有線七宝を施す、ガラス胎七宝という技法で制作しています。ガラス作家として活動する前は金属工芸を学んでおり、その経験から二つの素材の特性を活かした表現方法を模索するようになりました。その結果、現在の技法に辿り着き、ガラスの透明感や鮮やかな色彩に、銀線の繊細な線を組み合わせることで両素材の魅力を引き出す作品づくりが可能となっています。模様のデザインは、主に植物や雪の結晶などの自然をモチーフに制作しており、今回の個展では、蓋物や酒器、茶道具など、40-50点ほどの出展を予定しております。

We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition by glass artist Kozue Tsukahara, who is based in Kanazawa City. She works using a technique called glass cloisonné, where enamel is applied to glass. Before pursuing her career as a glass artist, she studied metal crafts, and her experience in that field led her to explore ways of expressing the characteristics of both materials. As a result, she developed her current technique, which allows her to create works that bring out the beauty of both materials by combining the transparency and vivid colors of glass with the delicate lines of silver wire. The designs of her patterns are mainly inspired by nature, such as plants and snowflakes. For this solo exhibition, she plans to display around 40 to 50 pieces, including lidded containers, sake sets, and tea utensils.
