EVENT / EXHIBITION

石川県能美市を拠点に活動する、九谷焼作家の吉貝知佳氏の個展を、縁煌/加賀依緑園（加賀市）にて開催いたします。染付けと和絵具で上絵を施した酒器、器類、ロクロ成形で制作した様々な作品、インテリア作品など、１２０点ほどの出展を予定しております。ご本人とっての初個展となる当展、この機会にぜひお立ち寄りください。

私の好きなモチーフ4種:豚、海の生物たち、風神雷神、釣人模様　を色々なアイテムやカタチに落としこんで、楽しく自由に表現してみました。
生地も一から全て自ら制作したので、染付けと上絵のモチーフやデザインとも相まって、一点一点個性があり、温かく、クスッと笑える作品に仕上がりました。是非ゆっくりとお時間を頂き、直接手にとってご覧頂きたいと思っております。九谷焼技術研究所を卒業した直後で、まだまだ未熟ではございますが、たくさん想いを込めて制作しましたので、温かい目で楽しんで頂けると幸いです。（吉貝知佳）

カリフォルニア州立大学フラトン校（米国）卒業
帰国後、ソムリエ資格を取得し、ワイン・酒類輸入販売会社で長らく営業業務を担当

We are pleased to announce a solo exhibition of Kutani ware artist Chika Yoshigai, based in Nomi City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to be held at Enkō/Kaga Irikuen (Kaga City). The exhibition will feature approximately 120 pieces, including sake cups and tableware decorated with underglaze blue and Japanese pigments, various works made on the potter's wheel, as well as interior pieces. This will be her first solo exhibition, and we warmly invite you to take this opportunity to visit.

My four favorite motifs—pigs, sea creatures, Fujin and Raijin (wind and thunder gods), and fishing patterns—have been interpreted across various items and forms, allowing for a playful and free expression. Since I created all the clay bodies from scratch, each piece has its own character, combining the motifs and designs in underglaze and overglaze painting to create warm works that may bring a smile. I sincerely hope you will take your time to view and experience the pieces firsthand. Having just graduated from the Kutani Pottery Technical Institute, I am still inexperienced, but each work is made with great care and thought, and I hope you can enjoy them with a kind eye.
