雨や雪をモチーフにした、オブジェ、酒器、器などの作品をご覧いただけます。

雨や雪をモチーフにして作品を制作しており、記憶の中にあるこれらをデザインとして落とし込み金属のテクスチャーでいかに表現出来るか探求しています。
金属工芸の中でも、鍛金技法を用いて作品を制作しており、一枚の金属板を火にかけ叩きまた火にかけ叩き…この行為を数十回繰返しようやく作品が完成します。

We will hold a solo exhibition by Koutaro Uranaka, who creates metalworks in Kanazawa city, Ishikawa Prefecture. He creates his works using rain and snow as motifs and explores how he can express the texture of metal by incorporating these elements from his memory into his designs. He creates his works using the metal forging technique, in which a sheet of metal is struck over a fire and struck again over a fire... This process is repeated dozens of times until the work is finally completed. The exhibition will feature about 30 pieces, including vases, sculpture, sake cups, etc. We are sincerely looking forward to you visiting this exhibition.
